Academic Excellence

St. Scholastica School provides a rigorous academic curriculum where students will reach their full potential. Lessons are differentiated with large and small group instruction. Students are challenged using problem-based learning experiences which allow for multiple solutions. This higher-level thinking provides problem solving skills which are necessary for life. The STS Faculty is invested in student success and are facilitators of the student learning experience. Our class size allows for a balance of group learning as well as individual attention.

Faculty

Our classes are led by a caring, experienced, and diverse faculty who are deeply committed to student learning. They draw upon a wealth of backgrounds and expertise to deliver enriching, engaging lessons. Our faculty continually grow and develop, attending professional conferences that infuse new ideas and strategies into their classrooms. Many have even pursued advanced degrees, demonstrating their personal commitment to education as a lifelong endeavor. In our mission to raise disciples of Christ, the gospel values are infused in all we do. Our faculty and staff are models of our faith in all we say and do for, and with, our students each day.

Gospel Values

Students at St. Scholastica will know Jesus Christ! He is the foundation of every academic grade level where children will explore and learn about His love and friendship. We incorporate our Catholic faith and prayers into daily routines, use Bible stories as a way to bring to life the concepts of creation, thanksgiving, love, and faith, and practice virtuous behaviors, manners, kind speech, and loving actions. Your child will continue to develop their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as they excel and mature socially, emotionally, and academically.

As a school, we recognize students who are an example of these values with the “Christian Character” award each term. Our gospel values are at the core of all we do as we prepare our students to be members of a global community who evangelize their faith and strive toward social justice for all.

Inclusion

At STS, we cultivate a nurturing and inclusive school community where all feel welcomed, safe, and valued. Through close collaboration with families, our parish, and the broader community, our students grow into fulfilled, educated individuals who embrace and live out the gospel values.

These gospel values are central to our mission as we prepare students to be engaged global citizens who evangelize their faith and champion social justice.

St. Scholastica is committed to meeting diverse student needs by incorporating our Instructional Aids and full-time resource services. In partnership with the local public school, qualifying students may also receive supplementary support, such as speech/language therapy, integrated throughout their school day. Additionally, advanced math students attend accelerated classes from 5th through 8th grade, allowing them to complete 9th grade coursework by graduation.
