Parents play a vital role as partners in their child’s education. The Parent Association, Crusader Parent Organization (CPO), meets monthly to explore ways to enhance the school experience and secure funding for enrichment activities. CPO is always seeking new members to join as the organization evolves to match the growing needs of students. To find out more, visit our Crusader Parent Organization page.

At St. Scholastica Catholic School, parent volunteers are essential beyond the school’s CPO program. By donating their time and talents, parents can actively support students and engage with the school community. Volunteer opportunities include the annual Dinner Dance Auction, daily lunch service, and more. Through these acts of service, parents become indispensable partners in shaping their child’s educational journey, bolstering academic achievement, and fostering a vibrant, close-knit school community.

Volunteering at STS reinforces the importance of service and faith, while directly impacting and visibly demonstrating these values to your students. The Scholastica commitment to teaching through the example of Jesus Christ’s life on earth underscores the significance of service. By continuing this tradition of service, STS empowers Crusader students. Through these multifaceted avenues of involvement, parents leave a lasting legacy.

Protecting God’s Children & VIRTUS

All volunteers working with children in any capacity within the Diocese of Joliet MUST complete the Protecting God’s Children (PGC) workshop through VIRTUS online. As stated in our Family Handbook, all STS parents/guardians must complete this very important safety program. If you have completed the program at another parish, you must switch your parish on your VIRTUS account, and present your certificate of completion along with the related acknowledgment form to our office.

If you have already completed PGC, please follow the link provided to check your VIRTUS account. Any and all missing items will be labeled in red. Thank you for participating in this important step, that helps continue to provide the safest environment for your children.
