Mrs. Elizabeth Bush

Preschool Teacher
Mrs. Elizabeth Bush is excited to serve as the lead teacher for St. Scholastica’s new preschool program and to help launch a joyful, faith-filled learning environment for the school’s youngest students. Elizabeth and her family moved to Glen Ellyn in 2018, where she lives with her husband and their two children—Gavin, who is entering 8th grade at St. Petronille School, and Caroline (Cece), who will be starting 4th grade at St. Scholastica this year. As both a teacher and a parent, she is deeply grateful to be part of the growing St. Scholastica community. A passionate and experienced early childhood educator, Elizabeth holds a degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in Early Childhood Education and Reading from the University of Iowa. She began her career in preschool classrooms, where she discovered her love for helping young children grow, learn, and prepare for kindergarten. Her dedication to child development and advocacy later led her to earn a law degree from Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a focus on child welfare and juvenile law. Elizabeth went on to practice law in Wisconsin, specializing in family and juvenile law and serving as a guardian ad litem in multiple courts—advocating for the best interests of children in a variety of settings. While this work was deeply meaningful, she eventually felt called to return to the classroom, where her heart has always been. Most recently, Elizabeth served as a kindergarten aide at St. Petronille School, where her children also attended. That role reminded her of the joy of teaching and reignited her passion for guiding young learners in both academics and faith. Elizabeth is honored to join the St. Scholastica family as the school’s first preschool lead teacher. She looks forward to supporting each child’s growth in a warm, nurturing, and faith-filled environment that celebrates curiosity, creativity, and the love of Jesus.
