Staff Profile

Mrs. Jen Feller

1st Grade Homeroom
Mrs. Feller is thrilled to begin her second year with the St. Scholastica Catholic School family and is especially excited to be returning to her first love—teaching 1st Grade. With many years of experience in this role, she is eager to guide her students through this important year of discovery, helping them grow in both their academic skills and their faith. Mrs. Feller earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from North Central College and later completed her Master of Science in Reading and Literacy at Walden University. She began her teaching career in the Valley View School District in Bolingbrook, where she taught first grade for fifteen years. After stepping away briefly to dedicate time to her family, Mrs. Feller remained active in education by volunteering in her daughter’s Religious Education classes at St. Elizabeth Seton in Naperville. This experience reignited her passion for sharing both her love of learning and her love of Christ with children, ultimately leading her back to the classroom in the Diocese of Joliet, where she has spent the past four years teaching second and third grade. Known for her warm approach and her ability to create a nurturing classroom environment, Mrs. Feller is dedicated to building a strong foundation for her students—academically, socially, and spiritually. She believes that first grade is a magical year of growth and exploration, and she feels blessed to lead her students as they learn, pray, and grow in confidence. Beyond the classroom, Mrs. Feller enjoys spending time with her family, being active in her parish community, and finding new ways to bring joy and creativity into her teaching. She looks forward to making lasting memories with this year’s 1st grade Crusaders and partnering with families to ensure a year filled with faith, learning, and love.
