Mrs. Bonnie Salvo brings a spirit of compassion, thoughtfulness, and steady support to the St. Scholastica Catholic School community as our School Social Worker, with over 40 years of experience. Known for her caring presence and commitment to student well-being, she plays an essential role in building a safe, faith-filled environment where every child is valued and supported. Mrs. Salvo earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Western Illinois University and completed her Master of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Guided by Catholic values and a deep respect for the dignity of each child, she works closely with students, families, and staff to foster resilience, healthy relationships, and emotional growth. She lives in Chicago with her husband and their dog, Emmett, and is a proud mother of two adult children. Outside of school, Mrs. Salvo enjoys traveling, tending her summer garden, and spending time with her large, close-knit family - which includes 17 nieces and nephews! She feels truly blessed to serve the St. Scholastica community and is honored to walk alongside our Crusaders as they grow academically, emotionally, and spiritually.
