Mrs. Sue Murray
Physical Education
Mrs. Sue Murray holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Eastern Illinois University and brings over 30 years of experience teaching physical education in both public and private school settings. She joined the Diocese of Joliet in 1999 and has been a valued member of our Catholic school community ever since.
Mrs. Murray is passionate about educating the whole child. In her classes, she encourages students to recognize physical fitness as a gift from God and an important part of caring for the bodies we have been blessed with. Through age-appropriate activities, skill development, and teamwork, she helps students build strength, coordination, confidence, and sportsmanship, while also learning perseverance, respect, and gratitude.
She lives in Villa Park with her husband, where they raised their four adult sons, and she treasures her role as a grandmother. Outside of school, Mrs. Murray enjoys reading, arts and crafts, exercising, and spending quality time with her granddaughter. Mrs. Murray is passionate about assisting students' growth not only in their physical and athletic abilities, but also in character—developing healthy habits that support a balanced, faith-filled life.
